GB Dark Age warriors for LotR conversions

Recently I bought a box of GB Dark Age warriors. The box has a variety of extra hands, heads, etc, which are perfect for conversions! A couple of friends asked me if there is compatibility between the GB DA warriors and the GW Lord of the Rings miniatures. They are compatible indeed. Below you can see some photos to compare the two types of miniatures:

Cirion between two DA warriors

A Minas Tirith  warrior between two DA warriors

Rear sides

A Dwarf Ranger with a DA warrior arm blowing a horn

A Rohan archer with DA warrior head

A Rohan warrior with DA warrior arm blowing a horn

A Rider of Rohan as a hornblower

A Rider of Rohan with an axe instead of his spear

That's it for today. Stay tuned for more.

  2. That looks like a useful box to get. I bought some of their brass spears which are excellent, and some metal crossbows for a future Isengard project, which seem ok but I haven't used them yet.
